Pre-race routine:

2 hour drive to the race site. Ate breakfast of 2 pop-tarts on the way.
Event warmup:

Probably not enough. I did some stretching and some strides but really should have run a half mile or so.

I was really disappointed with my first run. I wanted to come in around 40 minutes but I just couldn't get up the hills very well. I'm usually a pretty good hill runner.

Well, same as the first run only worse. I couldn't get up the hills. I just didn't have run legs with me that day.

Not much just walk around and watch the other finishers come in.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Not sure! The run is usally my best part but not this day!

It was a nice race and well organized. Everyone involved with the race was very friendly and helpful.

Not a bad race but I was very disappointed with my run performance but my bike carried me to an overall win! It may be that I was only two weeks off of the Indy mini in which I ran pretty hard. I'll definitely be back for this race next year.

I wouldn't be disappointed with that run performance. That was a great job on a really tough course. Nice job on the overall win.

Thanks! I've gotten over it now. I found out last week that several runners in the Tri inadvertently cut the course and their 10K run times were faster than mine. That's what I was bummed about cause several folks were 'faster' (I'm usually much faster than they are) than me and I was wondering how. That explained a lot! So, yes it's a win! Thanks!
