How did everyone do?

Hopefully I didn't look too terrible starting off the race for the swim this morning....funny thing was, my warm up lap around was better than the one I actually did to start the race...I think I just got myself soooo nervous!

Hope you all did well...sorry I didn't get to meet more of you, I found that I really kept to myself this morning, as I was nervous...

GOOD JOB!!!

did you hear meyelling for you, at least you did not get out the after only 1 lap like number 5 did. It cost him the over all race he lost by 9 seconds.

I did not see you on the course so you must have done ok.

ended up with a 1:28 and change,  I need to see the splits to see where I lost my time

No, I didn't hear you....but thank you!!! That swim really rattles me, I just hope it wasn't that obvious...I swam way better in my warm up lap...I don't know, I just have to suck it up and not get so rattled in there....

I was cheering you on.  I was going to stop by at the start of the swim, but you looked very nervous and didn't want to bother you.  You looked great in the water. You have nothing to be nervous about.

Hey Amy....it was nice meeting you yesterday and you did just fine!  I saw your start and you handled it like a champ.

I forgot to start my watch too so I keep wondering what my time was.  I keep telling myself that it was under 1:30, but it may be a little over  Still happy though...

Hit the wall at the long, sloping hill on Main St., but took a drink, ate a chew, and hammered on

Maybe I'll see some of you at future races......

Hey...It was great meeting you too....I love meeting all the BT'ers of Illinois...and I did that at one of my first races too...totally forgot...GREAT JOB out there for your first race (wasn't it your first tri?)

I hope to see you again too...I think I saw you are doing Schaumburg this year, and I might do that too...

Yup....first one and I'm happy with my time.  But because I'm so competitive with myself I somewhat feel "disappointed" too; it's like post-race bipolar feelings.....(no offense to anyone if applicable).

I'm still a go for Schaumburg and after seeing last year's results it looks like about 300 triathletes or so.  They have the bike/run map out now and the bike doesn't have as many straights as I would like and it goes through a lot of neighborhood streets; those streets better be well-paved!  It's also a dual transition setup and I don't think I like that that much.  Oh well....at least it's close to home

Only $44 bucks to enter...

Holy thread resurrection Batman! You do realize that this is from 2009

Anyway, this will be the first time since '09 I haven't done this race and wish everyone well. The water will definitely be cold, but, heck....you're only in it for a short time anyway! Good luck!
