Subject: Was I the only one at the North Shore Tri this morning?
It was fun, a bit too hilly on the run, a bit too clustercuddly in the way shallow pool, but the bike loop was built for getting good speed and it was chock full of nice folks.

I had a great time. Next year, I'll make sure to get in with the right swim group. I got shuffled into the 16-17 minuters and should have been in the 14-15 group. I'll also have a new crankset so I don't go and lose a crank arm at the far end of the course and have to walk the bike back to the start to get a wrench. I think that added about 35-40 minutes to my overall time.

Hey I was there too, Good race and good weather... Just a little hard getting a good start time based on aprox times but I lucked out and only had to pass a couple of folks and managed to stay out of everyones way. Hilly run though but great volunteers!!

Yep, that doofus with the one-armed-bandit bike was me. I built it myself out of stuff I bought on ebay and craigslist. Great opportunity to upgrade the crank, though! Pete at tri3sports hooked me up and we sorted out the wacky ghost shifting as well. Next race should be a little smoother.

It was lovely to briefly meet you! All of the officials and volunteers were great.
