I VOTE AUSTIN... did the race last year and have nothing but great things to say about the race and the people who put it on... Plus austin is a great TRI community!

I think im going back down this year too.

October 25 is a great time frame for Texas. Plus it's a BT-fest!

Haven't done Augusta but the weather is BRUTAL in August in Georgia/SC at that time of year.  I have a hard time tailgating at USC games for 5 hours in August, let alone doing 70.1!

Fixed that for ya!

I'm doing Augusta, which'll be my first HIM.

Sure, it's going to be hot in late september, but have you ever been to the hellhole that is texas?! ugh! Not to mention it's such an ugly state!

Augusta is going to be an inaugural event, so you have to expect some issues, but it should be a nice race. It should be a fast course, too.

BTW, if you're going to sign up for Augusta, you better do it fast. Limit was raised to 2500 recently (originally 2000) and there are less than 200 slots open now.

I was reading this thread http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=150083&posts=45&start=1 and it made me want to do Austin.  Looks like it will be a great race.
