No word from anyone about this race. Anybody ready for it here. It looks like it is going to be a little warm and humid on Sunday. What a great test for a bigger race coming two weeks later.

Anyone ridden the bike course?  Looks a little technical in one are, and I sure hope it's well marked.

It is a bit twisty once you come out of the college area, but is overall a fast course.  Much better than the Jackson County bike course, plus no dismount.

Yeah, I talked to someone else this morning who said it was a fast course - sounds fun.

Ya'll just wave when you pass me.

Did anyone else notice in the email from the RD that the transition spots are assigned?

I spent most of my day at the race site helping setup.

Spaces are definitely assigned. The ends of the racks in the center of the aisle have number ranges printed on them. (No marked spots per se, but you definitely will have an assigned rack.

Weather was pretty nice today, but it went from calm to progressively more windy as the day went on. Hopefully the wind will not start up until the afternoon like it did today.

This is gonna be a really interested weekend for me.  My very first tri and I get to see it from set up to teardown and race in the middle.

If you want to find me just look for the guy with bright pink fingernails. I bet there wont be two of us....

Wow, I better get some sleep. I fixed several typos in that last post and just found more.

I'm gonna be back at the site early to help again, or to get marked and chipped and take a nap if they don't find anything for me. (As if I could sleep once I'm there.)

By the way, my name is Eric if anyone decides to look me up. I will answer to 'Faded' as well.

I took some pics today with the empty spaces and stuff set up, I'm gonna try to get some more tomorrow to show how it comes together with all the happy people.

That was fun.  Working and racing made my first race very interesting.

I have posted a gallery from set up and race day.

Enjoy.
