Any experience with these? The ad I found says "reduced fatigue, improved performance" and theydon't sell on their website. The add was by 2XU. These are NOT tights...more like Jobst hose made sporty-looking.

Just bought the Zoot calf guards.

Hoping I get them in the next couple of days. My shin splint on my right leg is bothersome and uncomfortable. I'm planning on only wearing one of them on my right shin & calf because my left leg is fine.

I use the 2XU calf guards, but only on my left leg.  Been having some problems getting past a mild calf strain, and I think they've helped.  I wear it when I run & cycle, and also for recovery, and even sleep in it if I've had a hard workout that day (but I do put on a clean one

Got the Zoot sleeves yesterday. I haven't taken them off except for the shower and the pool. I'm wearing one on my right leg as I type this. Shin splints on my right leg. I have been feeling them even when I walk. Since I have been wearing the compression sleeve the last 14 hours or so it feels much, much, much better.

I'll let you know if it serves as a quick fix for the pain during my runs probably next week.

Zensah all the way.

I'm a retailer of both Zensah and 2XU. Having tested both, I feel the Zensah provides more compression and feels so good. The 2XU feels "silkier"....also feels great - but not as much compression.

I have had the 2XU guards for a few months and used them for the run during Ironman NZ as I was having a niggling calf strain and they worked wonders for me.

Has anyone tried all three or more importantly compared Zensah to the Zoot ones? I have zensah but after getting Zoot compression tights I would be likely to get Zoot calf sleeves when it comes time to replace the Zensahs

is it just me.. or have the marketing division from the various companies picked up on the new trend on compression tights for the calves only??

i bumped into a sales person selling XXX product of this sort.. telling me that the compression tights i was already weren't as good because they weren't "hospital grade" compression.
According to 2xu.. the ones i were wearing are "hospital grade"... go figure.

I have Zoot compressoin socks and Zensah calf sleeves.

I got the Zoot socks because I had varicose vein surgery in my left leg a couple years ago, and they are coming back, and that leg swells. I wear them during my long runs to prevent the swelling, and hopefully, keep more veins popping out I definitely feel that they help keep my legs feeling fresher during those long runs.

I got the Zensah calf sleeves to wear during races. They can be worn during the swim, so no need to waste time putting them on in T1 or T2. I used them at my recent half iron race, and they were comfortable, dried quickly, did not cause any chaffing, and stayed put during the race.

As far as compression, the Zoot socks provide better compression...I think they are medical grade. I can tell that they hug my legs tighter and feel really good to wear. I will wear those during my IM in the fall, putting them on in transition. For IM, I'm not going to care about my T times, and want the better compression for that long day.

The calf sleeves are comfortable enough, slick enough to swim in, but definitely are not as compressive. Will wear those for OLY and HIM races. Sprints, I won't wear anything.

As far as heat - I have worn both on somewhat hot days (85 degrees and humid). They are hotter than nothing at all (bare skin). But, they are not uncomfortably warm, and so I feel it's worth it. Have not yet run in a super hot day yet this season!

I do not wear either for recovery. I guess I should try that, but I do feel like recovery is better in terms of less pain in my joints and muscles after runs... simply because I have worn compression socks during the run, so there was less build up of bad stuff in my veins during the run.
