Subject: Lake Placid IM 09 Volunteers question
Sooo...does everyone have a hotel room already? My life has been a bit crazy of late and I haven't gotten around to booking anything yet (I know, I know, gotta get on that).

Where are folks staying? I'm sure Lake Placid itself will be booked up, but anyone in the surrounding areas?

And are there any plans for a get together?

I have the same dilemma.  I think I am going to just wing it.  Bring a tent and go from there.  It is probably a bad idea but it is cheap.

We canceled our reservation at Hungry Trout..you may want to try there.....2 rooms with small kitchen with queen bed in one room, double and single in the other with two bathrooms.

I would totally camp, and had actually briefly considered it... but... where do you put your bike? I want to take a quick tour of the area on Saturday when I arrive and am not crazy about the idea of leaving my bike in a somewhat non-secured location... Or am I just being silly?

I too am trying to figure out what to do with my bike because I want to look around too but am worried about what to do with my bike.  

Hope that I read or hear an option that will make me more comfortable with my bike, but now I have no idea.  Camping was so cheap, there was no other option for me.
