Subject: Marathon/Triathlon TrainingI am currently training for a Marathon in October, but also want to compete in a couple of Triathlons through the summer. One Tri that I want to do is on a Sunday in August when my Marathon training schedule calls for a 32km long run. If I compete in the Olympic Distance Tri, should that be sufficient (I figure the long run and Tri would each take me around 3 hours ) or should I incorporate a long run later in the week? Also, should I try to bike/swim between running days, or could I replace a short run with a longer bike (distance ) or swim (time )? Any suggestions are welcome. Thanks! |
