Did my first Tri on Saturday - the Guelph Lake Try-a-Tri (375m, 10k, 2.5k)  - and despite the rainy weather I blew away my own expectations of how great the day would be!  I finished in 58:13 which was 41/82 in my AG (W30-39).

Here are the details:

S - 12:17 (38/82)
B - 27:14 (15/82) - I was 114 in the field of 387!
R - 19:01 (40/82)

It felt so good to finish the race.  I am a little disappointed with the run time but super pleased with the bike.  I keep going over and over parts of the race in my mind thinking about what I will try and change for the next time - when does this stop?

As a bit of background on myself since I am new to the boards (posting anyway) - I am a mom of two kids (4 & 2) who weighed 260 pounds and was totally sedentary 9 months ago.   Today I am a 198 pound (and dropping) TRIATHLETE!  I can't wait for the next race!

AWESOME!!!!  Your children must be so proud of their mom.  You have NOTHING to be disappointed about.

Congrats triathlete!
