Pre-race routine:

Drank some water on the way to the race.
Event warmup:

Little jog around the block to warm up.

Comments:

Run went well, I was at the front during the start, not many seemed to want to start up front. I started out and tried to find a pace that felt comfortable but was quick. Heat and humidity weren't too bad but not optimum. Ran well, was limited by fitness and weight at this point. Not enough breeze in parts of the city and along the river due to the trees, in the open areas where there was a breeze it was much cooler.
What would you do differently?:

Drop about 15-20 lbs.
Post race
Warm down:

Drank some water, walked around, stretched out, waited for Lisa to come and ran with her towards the finish line.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Weight / Fitness Level. Since I'm training for long distance my speed work for the shorter races isn't optimal right now.

Event comments:

Party in the park after the race. Food and drink available. Information tents available for varies pet related stuff.
