looks like I will be staying at my parent's place next weekend in Danbury.

Anyone want to meet up for training?

i'd be game for something on Sunday, let me know.

I usually do a group ride with my Tri team on Saturdays, we go 40-50 miles at about 17 mph, lotsa climbing, you could always join us, we go from Westport up to Bethel and back most weekends.

hmmm might do that - I see that there is a bike shop in Bethel that looks like it has a recurring ride.....which I was thinking of joining but your tri team sounds more fun - details? time? start poing? TT bikes allowed/

Bethel Cycle is a phenominal group, they have bike and Tri teams and are a great bunch of guys and gals.

We (Team Mossman)  start at 7am on Saturdays and ride from 2-4 hours depending, TT bikes are not a problem as alot of guys use them (including myself) following the simple rules of not being in aero etc, like most group rides. The "A" ride is mostly roadies from our Bike team, and those guys are rediculously fast and usually don't wait for stragglers and average almost 20mph for 50+ miles, our "B" group is a little less hardcore, but we still get an average of around 17 including sweeps and waiting for some of the slower riders.  I can guaranty one thing...lots of climbing and hills, lol. Pm me and let me know.

I would give a thumbs up to the Bethel ride - they have A, B and C groups so you can match up to your pace. Mixture of roadies and tri folks. Feel free to call the shop and ask them for more details: http://bethelcycle.com/. Also check their bulletin board as there might be impromptu rides on Friday and Sunday as well.

kewl sounds like I will go on that ride.  The bulletin board has not had any recent posts but I might call the shop and find out.  I sent an email but only got an automatic response.

thanks!
