So I am 90% complete with switching out my bars. Some of you may have seen me post about doing it lately and it ended up being really easy... The only issue is I can not get the bace of my shimano (maybe Dura Ace) shifters off of my old bars. How do you get them off. I have actually already ran all of my cables and re installed my brakes. But I am stuck now with my shifters. Help PLEASE!!!!

Is this a road bar with STI shifters or bar end shifters?

If they are the STI shifters, you need to muscle up the rubber housing to expose the clamp and bolt and loosen that to slide them off.

Bar end shifters. Sorry should have mentioned that earlier. On Aerolite profile design.

I can see a screw inside of the base of the shifter but no matter how much I put into it it wont move. It has slipped once and I dont want to strip it out. Any ideas on it.
