Subject: RE: Hotter N Hell 100I did the 100K and there was a little guy standing outside his house waiting to high 5 people. About ten riders in front of me just blew by him but I slowed down to slap his hand. To be honest, he was one the defining moments of the race for me. It was near the end, I was tired, sore, thirsty, hungry...couldn't wait to hit the base and grab some grub. All he said was "way to go mister!" All of the sudden there was an epic wind at my back, I was motivated, and I found a whole new level of strength. I know it sounds a little corny but that little boy was at the right place and at the right time. Great ride though! I'll be back again next year for the 100 miles...can't wait!!! |
