Just wondering for my long ride tomorrow morning.
I might be thinking dumb, but maybe the nutrition because less after it is frozen?

My official answer to this is no.... but my real answer is I don't know....

I say no because of the protein content in infinit. Proteins are goofy little molecules that interact with water in very specific ways. If you disrupt the protein/water interactions by freezing it you can tear apart the proteins in the solution. Will that happen? I dunno. But part of the reason for drinking the stuff is the protein content.

ETA: I wouldn't. Add ice instead and put it in the fridge 'til you are ready to go.

I froze a bottle to put in my special needs last 2 IM's with no problem.

TriOK,
It's possible his mix doesn't have any protein.  I have some in mine, so I don't think I would try to freeze it for the reasons you stated.  Regardless, the recommended mix for me derived from the questions didn't include any protein.  I added a little to the mix.

I would say that if he doesn't have any protein in there, it might be OK.  I would call and ask to be sure.

I carry three bottles on really long rides. I will take two the night before, fill them halfway, and lay them down at about a 70% angle in the freezer so they freeze with the ice on one side, but not touching the lid. In the a.m. I put in the water I need and add the Infinit. It doesn't stay as cold as a bottle that has been frozen entirely, but it does stay colder longer than just cubes.
