Subject: BAD training day! :(so everyone told me I need to be doing long runs/bike/swim, individually. Today, I decided to run to work - 6 miles. Something I used to do 2-3 times/week when training for my 10-miler. UGH - this morning was awful. I *have* been running, but only like 2-3 miles lately. Usually I count the first mile as warm-up, and move on from there. I could NOT get into it morning!!! 4 miles and one port-a-poty stop later, I FINALLY got into my running groove! Then after about a mile of actually enjoying my run, my leg strated to cramp up, and I really had to push through that last mile... I know we all have good days and bad days, but I really think I'm starting to understand the value of long-distance training. I definitely need to be doing more long-distance runs!!! (it's been too long since I last did one! ) |
