Subject: Wetsuit Question
How cold is too cold to not have a wetsuit.  I have my first tri coming up and I read that the water temperature should be around 68-70 degrees.  I just bought a bike and other gear and don't really want to but a wetsuit if I don't have to.  Will I be ok without one?

It depends on you. I'm kinda a cold water weenie but 68-70 degrees is very comfortable for me. Get some OW swims in before race day. Good Luck

What is the distance?

If its a half, I would say its heavily recommended but not mandatory. Anything shorter, and its really optional. It will be chilly but no real risk of hypothermia or anything.

Why not rent one? wetsuitrental.com and a few others have good rental programs.
