Subject: training plan w/ skd OLY

Following one of the OLY training plans, 28 week I think. I scheduled it to include an OLY this weekend and another 9/20. The training log on Tuesday stated "This is the first week of taper for the first A race. Lots of workouts, but low volume."

Today was a 60 minute spin. However the next 4 days concern me.

Thursday: 40 min run.

Friday: 60 min swim

Saturday: 45 min swim/120 min ride brick

Sunday: 75 min tempo run

The OLY is Sunday. This is a taper? Comments/suggestions please on a reasonable taper.

This is the FIRST week of a 3-week taper (week #19 if I read it right).  The plan assumes your race is 3 weekends from now (week #21), on August 9th.

The only thing posted on Tuesday, 7/21 training log was "...first week of taper for the A race." Nothing about taper for three weeks. I'm beginning to think I screwed up on setting the start date of the plan. I looked at planned workouts for the week leading up to the 9/20 A race, and there aren't any! It appears my training log is leading up to 8/9 race. WRONG. Any idea's?

Too late to do much now. 

Go with some short workouts the next couple days with some short, race-paced efforts in them.  Take a rest day on Fri or Sat and have fun on Sunday. 

Figure out a plan that will end properly on 9/20 next Monday.
