Run
Comments: For such a short run, it really hurt for some reason. My arms were really tight and tired (WTF?) I didn't go all out, just a hard steady pace. What would you do differently?: Have it be a swim instead of a run. :) Transition 1
Comments: - Helmet was sitting backwards on bike - a bit slow getting bike shoes on and closed - Had a bit of trouble getting clipped in at the line What would you do differently?: Setup T1 a little more carefully and practice more. Bike
Comments: T1 is included in the time. Actual speed was easily over 34 km/hr. I felt awesome on the bike. For the first 2 km, I was passing people constantly and even for the rest of the segment, I was passing people. Only had one guy pass me and stay ahead. I got into a very comfortable pace and just pushed hard all the way. Saw Miguel just before the turnaround and set my sights on catching him. :) Managed to do so about 2.5km from the finish. What would you do differently?: Nothing Transition 2
Comments: Pretty good I guess. Still pretty slow compared to others I'm sure but better than the last race I think. Everything was soaked! What would you do differently?: Not much. Run
Comments: T2 is included in the time. Run sucked as expected - I really need to run more. Just pure pain and suffering for 25 mins. :( Andrew caught me about 1km from the finish and I wasn't able to stay with him. Tom caught me right at the end and beat me by one second. What would you do differently?: Run more! Post race
What limited your ability to perform faster: Not enough running and lack of a swim segment. :) Last updated: 2009-07-08 12:00 AM
