I had a good time today.  I ran the first 8miles with a friend I have not seen in years.  I was leading the conversation the entire time and finaly after the 8 mile mark he told me to go ahead because I looked strong and his knee was hurting.  I ran the final 2 miles in 12 minutes for a time of 1:15:34 and placed 162 out of 15XX.  I hope to be under 210 by the time the Houston marathon gets here so maybe I can finish that strong too.

I have only seen 2 other after parties (Austin 1/2 Mary and east side tri) and this party was great.  LOTS of food and beer.  They were asking people to load up on food and beer so they could close the tents down in order to make the 11:30 close time.  I even enjoyed the band.  I am looking forward to next year.

Great job!  What a great run for you!  And I was just happy with my 1:45, lol!

I agree, this was a well run race with an awesome post race party.  I look forward to doing this one every year!

Well, I made it and wasnt too sick.  Just a little soar throat.  I almost let my bed win me over, but I won.  I ran surprisingly well,  1:13.34.  I was 11th in my age group (30-34) but would have like to be at 100% to see how I really am.

I think, actually pretty sure, I am much faster at this then when I used to run in high school...over 12 years ago.

I hope all of you did well out there!!! Awesome job everyone!
