I would definitely scrap yours pronto, though. Make sure to actually smash it beyond use - I've had kids take an old helmet that had taken a HARD fall (from cantering horse into concrete ) out of the garbage. Not good. I don't know as much about bike helmets, but with horses, the higher-dollar helmets actually perform WORSE in independent testing. Besides, if you don't spend as much on a helmet, you are lot more likely to replace it when you need to. |
