Subject: Queen City Marathon : Official Thread

 

Just wanted to start a thread for the 2009 edition of the Queen City Marathon.

The half and full marathon races are now full, so it will be another big crowd.

This will be my first full marathon.   Regina is my home town, and I've run most of the course several times in training thus far, so it should be a comfortable race from that perspective.

Who else is going to be there?   Anyone have any interesting stories, plans, or expectations for the race?

Hi Terry!

Hope you had a successful day at the QCM.   I think it went very well.   At least for me, 4:03 for my first marathon is acceptable for someone my age (47.)

Weather was great and I was real happy with the great organization of the whole event.

Also, as someone who had not previously met John Stanton, I was excited about that as well.

I'm really looking forward to my next marathon, in Richmond, VA in November.

Hope your QCM was as fulfilling as mine!

I really enjoyed my1/2 Marathon.  And getting my medal from John STANTON was a great bonus.  Looking forward to next year.
