Route manager really aggravating me

So I just finished a great ride today and I wanted to use the route manager to plot it so that I could share it with people.  It was about 70+ miles and plotting the points can be a bit tedious.  I got about half way done when all of a sudden the map started scrolling left at high speed uncontrollably.  Nothing I hit would make ti stop.  This is the third time it's happenned.  I got mad and vowed not to use it again so I went to gmaps-pedometer to log the same thing.  It was way easier but I couldn't get the map image to load into my log. So, it seems I have to use the BT version but is there any way to get it to stop scrolling like it's on meth??
