Done did it.  1:18:57.  Still slow, but 14 minutes off last year.  Swim was good, bike was good.  Run sucked.  I think that I need more training on the bike to have legs left for the run.

I did it with 2 other buddies of mine.  I did it in 1:20.09 with the other two coming in at 1:21.30 and 1:25.30.  First time I did the broadlands tri.  Didn't know what to expect but boy was that first hill a doozy on the bike.

All in all it was the better of my first two tri's.  I had enough left in me after the swim to run to T1 and then enough legs from bike to run.

Mike what number were you?

We were 62, 73, and 120.

All in all it was a great day!

93!  I had good swim, and really good bike (for me) and a below average 'run'.

Edit-> Post your race report.

Also, congrats on a good race!  I hope that you made the other two guys buy you a cold one since you beat them.

Tell me about it!  I live right off of that first hill.  Last year it took me a couple weeks to even get up the hill without having to walk part of it.  On Saturday morning I did the Broadlands hill 10 times without a break.  Its true what they say, they only way to get good at hills is to ride more hills!

I'm glad you and your buddies had a great race.  Hope you will be back again next year!

The guy that did it with me has the first house right there when you take a left at the top of the hill.  The young guy in our group actually smiled for the camera when he made it to the top of the hill.
