What exactly does a bike marshall do?

Mostly, you stand at a corner or an intersection and wave bikers in the right direction while trying to keep them from getting hit by cars. Not hard.

Our captain just emailed us.  He was in Bermuda.....sucka!!!  We won't make it to the volunteer meeting on Saturday morning though.  Guess we are gonna hafta wing it.

I would check into that - we volunteered with our boat a few years ago and had a lifeguard and diver on board.  There was a scheduled meeting in advance to discuss logistics.  Don't know if they are doing that again, but it was definitely before the Saturday volunteer meeting.  I believe the lifeguards, etc were there and not just the boat owners.

Well I couldn't wait.  The guy in charge of volunteers is out of the office until the 31st.  As I was reviewing the requirements for my position though, I found that I don't have all of the requirements necessary for the position.  .......UUUGH!

Well, I take it back. I just got a email. Volunteer meeting on Sat the 12th, for assignments, shirts, etc. Didn't say time, but I'm assuming its 7 or 8 am, and asked the captain to verify.

Sag Wagon cap. said meeting is 8am.
Now to figure out where to park.

Normally, when I'm parking in the square area, I go to the carrol st ramp, since its close to where I usually need to go in that area, state st. and the library.
Any suggestions?

No reason you can't still park in the Carroll street ramp. Or any of the ramps around the square. They're all walking distance to the Terrace and it shouldn't be so busy on Saturday that you can't get into any of them.
