Subject: Silver Comet - Saturday - 8/22

I've been training on hills since May and I need to change it up. Plus, I've been hearing that Augusta is not as hilly as previously described. I could use some company.

Place: Floyd Rd.

Time: 7:00 AM (rolling - I need to have fun in the afternoon)

Pace: 19 mph

Distance: 3:30 - 4:00 hours (70 miles or so)

I might be able to average 19 for 3:30 if I draft the whole way.

I am in.  I have a 3.5 hr ride and then a half hr run so it sounds good.  I wil run my zipp 404's so I can do 19...Kiss

I'll probably be out there, but I'm going a lot slower and I need 100 miles.  Senior Phelps might join me.  I'll probably do two loops of 50 miles @ 17 mphish if anyone is slower and doesn't want to go as far.

If there are no other slow folks I'll probably ride with y'all.

I think you are just being modest.  Although I was not going that fast yesterday, I was doing around 19 mph the other day on Columns and you blew past me like I was standing still.  I know you were only doing 20 miles that day, but we all know you have become the beast on the bike.   That is why I did not respond to this earlier.  I do not want to kill myself trying to keep up with you.  I figured you were saying 19 out of modesty and I would be dying as you were averaging somewhat more than that. 

BTW, Doug -- I am looking iffy.  I can probably do it, but I am pretty sure that I have to stay in Madison Friday night.

I'm hoping to make it out.  Like Doug, need to do 100, plus 6mi. run afterwards.  I've been doing 18mph on long SCT rides, so I may be somewhere in between you guys.
