I'm going to be going out to the coffee group on Saturday morning if anyone else is interested in coming along.

How y'all doing?

Robin and I are going for a riding Saturday. I will see if she wants to join the group. How long are the rides and ave speed in the coffee group. We are only averaging 27km/hr. Maybe we can just meet for coffe and ride our separate ways after.

The Coffee ride is for riders who have some experience group riding but not able to hold 30+km/h for long distances ...yet. With time Coffee riders will join the Espresso riders as speed and endurance improves.

I will be riding there from work so I will be there approx 8:30am if you want to get a coffee before. Remember it is easier to ride a higher speeds in a group cause of the drafting. I'm not sure how far they ride, but you can drop anytime you want

Coffee group is 30-35km/hr.  Decaf is a little slower.  They prefer that you've had some decaf rides before you join the coffee rides.

We did 70k last week - and that seems to be the average.  Up through Belle River and over to Jim's church and back.  I'll see if I can map the route...

It should depend on what your training goal is for the day. Speed work or distance.
Since i have neither, I will just have coffee with you. Robin doesn't like groups and i am not sure if i can keep the pace. See you Sat.

Tim

PS. Yes, you can say balls out, but not with the capital B.

Just an FYI:
Here it is, you've worked hard all season, now it is time to put that work to the test.
Come out and join us for a 100 kilometer ride, lunch, and I'm sure some jokes and fun.
What a great feeling it is to complete your first 100 kilometer ride, especially with your friends.

On Sunday September 13th there will be a decaf metric century ride. We will leave from the Second Cup at 9:00 am and ride a 60 kilometer route to the Lighthouse Inn for a buffet lunch. After lunch and some socializing we will ride 40 kilometers back to the Second Cup. All riders are welcome, but remember, this is a decaf ride. This will be just like a Wednesday night ride, but longer.

Please let me know if you are interested so that I can give the Lighthouse Inn an approximate head count.

See you out there...
Alex

I would say either.  We rode with the espresso group last week - it was hard - but we didn't get dropped.  Speeds between 35-45km/h with some sprints.  You'd be fine with the espresso group.  I prefer the decaf group because I actually like to see the front - and I can't pull at 45.  But the espresso rides are good for the psyche - give you a solid sense of accomplishment.

Missed you guys out there this morning...were you at the coffee shop?
I was working last night and we had a few runs this morning so I was late getting there...showed up right at 9:00...was a good ride. Then the next group was heading out when we got back so I rode back to Belle Rvier with them and scooted around until I got my 100km in *tired*

Sorry Jeff.
We waited until the rain went by. didn't get out until 11:00am. I have been wanting to ride to belle river. What road do you take to get to tecumseh? I usually ride out to the sand bar and then head on puce river road and go south.
