Subject: RE: First TT Tomorrow -Any Advice for a Newbie?Start off in a big gear, one that you push from a stand still but pedal up into. That way you build speed off the start, settle in and don't have to shift. Get up to your cursing effort and go "hardish" About 3/4 of the way from the finish just go for broke, If you are not about to sick up at the end you left speed on the course. If things start to feel comfortable, click it down a gear.
They usually start racers off in one minute intervals, try to catch your minute man (the person that left in front of you ). Don't be surprised if you get passed and you do some passing in a TT. The stage racers usual based on when they registered, not by how fast they are (unless it's a series ). |
