Subject: Sick after Ironman Lou
Anyone else sick. I have the GI's that started this morning and I might have a low grade fever. This sucks. Wanna get back to normal life but now I lay here in bed. I hope it is not from drinking the Ohio river water.

Sorry to hear that !

I don't think it's uncommon to get sick after an endurance event.  I've read that your immune system is suppressed after a long race (not sure if that's true)... I usually get a bad cold after a marathon

I do have some stomach issues. Not sure if it the river water I drank during the swim or all of the bad food and beer I drank the last few days!

Other than a Heineken headache on Monday and some screaming quads, I've been feeling pretty good post race.  Maybe it's because I spent the first hour of the bike burping all the river water out.

Ha Ha !!! I've eaten more junk food in the last two days, than I have in the last two years-lol !!!!! And yes, the stomach does not like it at all !!!!!!! I put on a eating display at a football game tuesday night that looked like an episode of Man vs Food!!
