IMO, the best deal going now is $1399 shipped for a Kestrel Talon with Ultegra SL in the tri setup:

http://www.bikesdirect.com/products/kestrel/talon_tri_sale.htm

I've not ordered from bikesdirect, but i do have a Kestrel Talon SL that I really like and I took note of this sale.  One other note is that if it was me, I might pay a few hundred more and get either the Talon SL with Ultegra SL or the Talon with Dura Ace.  Both of these have road bars and shifters, but you could easily sell them and get a really good set of tri bars, brakes and dura ace shifters to create the Tri setup

Good luck!

That kestrel is a nice looking bike. I showed it to my buddy and I think he is ordering one. I found a 2006 specialized transition expert that im going to be buying. Thanks for the help!

I have a 54 cm GURU Crono that I am selling. This is GURU's top of the line bike, frame and fork retail for $4,500, but I am selling it, with SRAM Force components and Vision Tech aerobars for 2k. There are no wheels or saddle. I rode the bike for 1 season and loved it. Very comfortable for long rides. Only selling because I am focusing on coaching so much that I don't ride it enough. I have pics I can send if you are interested. Email me at [email protected].

You can get a new Cervelo P1 in that price range.  You might even be able to get a new P2SL (same bike, old name) for a heavily discounted price.

That's pretty hard to beat, especially if the bike shop will help you get fit correctly on the bike.
