Ok, Who's in? Any first time triathletes here? Henlopen was my first race-- I did it in 2006. I'm looking forward to coming back. Lewes is still one of my favorite places to train.

I'm signed up for it. It'll be my first ocean swim so I hope they don't end up having to cancel it (as I heard was the case for a previous year). This will be my third race and second sprint.

Hey, that's cool. 2006 CHTD was my first duathlon...it was supposed to be my first tri, but the water wasn't cooperating.

im in. first race back into triathlon since 2004. using it as a guide to see what i need to focus on this winter. same here with the fact that i HOPE they don't cancel the swim. i surf and guard so this is my strength coming off some looooong rest! i live in near by bethany beach but never did this tri. not sure why except for the fact that I can only afford 1 tri per season; spring/summer/fall and I used to love the sea colony tri! to far in advance to predict the swell for that day but I will say that the surf has been below average and that dewey tri and sea colony tri both got their swims off AOK. fingers crossed and see u there!

How are the jellyfish this year? I've never been stung, and I'm hoping that streak continues!

Registration is closed.  Looks like a little over 600 entrants between the Tri and the Du.

Good Luck everyone...  See you there.

I'm looking forward to it. It's still a couple days away, but weather is calling for rain before and after Sunday with some light wind, so hopefully we'll have a decent day. Good luck to everyone.

Has anyone here done this one before?  Looking at the course map - the transition area appears to be about 1/2 mile from the swim exit.  That's a long way to run w/out shoes.  Is it really that far?

Congrats to everyone who raced. That swim seemed like it was against the current, but I still felt comfortable so I guess that was good. Apparently there was a pod of dolphins swimming along the first wave going out..I could have sworn I saw something next to me, but that was the last thing I wanted to think about lol. I was pretty happy about placing for my AG for a nice way to end the season. Hope you all had a great race and a fun time as well.
