So is everyone ready for this?  The possibility of it being quite cold is starting to play mind games with me.

I'm getting excited.  Still debating a disk cover, or tri-spoke rear wheel.

I am really looking forward to it. however, it looks like I may have to change to the Aquabike unfortunately. My IT Band has flared up something fierce.

Well, it seems the water temp may not be too bad (relatively) with current temps around 59F.  It looks like air temp should be low 50's.  I'm planning on using arm warmers, but am not sure whether to wear my tri top under my wetsuit or leave it dry and put it on in T1.

Any suggestions?  What do you plan to wear on the bike?

Went for a short bike scouting the bike route a few miles up Hwy 1.  A little chilly, but think I'll go sans warmers and see how it goes.  A little fog rolling in off the pier.  Could make navigating the swim even more interesting.

So...how about that swim?

A bunch of us were not really looking forward into getting to that chilly water.

That was my fastest swim of the year.

Seriously, I was a little bummed at it being cancelled, but it was absolutely the right call by the race director.  The fog made it unsafe, and the RD has to watch out for safety above everything else.  Great day for a ride and a run!
