skrtrnr - 2009-10-20 7:13 AM MORNING GHOULIES.

minor adjustment to the plan this morning, well.  more like.  a minor adjustment to the route i was planning to run.

my oldest son is home sick.  that makes 3/5 now.  dh and i still 'standing'....

high temp.  cough.  same symptoms.

im gonna get out for my 12 miler today, but im gonna do an out and back that way ill stick closer to home.  my guess is that he'll either sleep all day and/or play his DS, read, watch movies all day.

guess it explains the PISSY mood yesturday.  feel bad now, that i was so short with him.  :{

my youngest said NINE kids were out sick yesturday, just in his class.

manohman it IS a pandemic!

i had my share of sick already, so im hoping for a 'get a jail free' card on this particular strain.

my husband is SURE to get it, and he's a BIG BABY when he's sick.  WAY worse than the kids....not that i want him to get sick, but OI ME this is ONE CONTAGIOUS STRAIN OF YUCK!

well.  i need to eat my egg whites, and then im off to stash my stuff while my food digests.

im kind of bummed, i cut out the part of my where i get to run through the woods/on the trail...but this way makes so much more sense. ill feel 'better' being closer to home.

besides.  when i get back and i post my run to the spreadsheet i get to watch my percentage go WAY up there.  WEEE.  its the little things....

HAPPY RUNNING

Oh, and enjoy your run today!

skrtrnr - 2009-10-15 2:27 PM oh well, i might not be the sharpest crayon in the box...but manohman i sure do have the coolest HALLOWEENY SOCKS that make me spin real fast.

Stacie, have you ever bought socks from "SockGuy?"  I have some cool "Bad Kitty" and "Pirate skull & crossbone" socks.  I always feel like a BadA$$ when I wear them.

www.sockguy.com

They are great cycling socks!  I have a couple pair and they last!

what's on the side of your socks?  (or is that on the top??  im not sure when it comes to socks??)

i usually wear smart wool to run/ride in.  they keep my feet cool when its hot and hot when its cold.

isnt that just MAGICAL??

how do they do that?

just the plainjane ones, black.

stacieb

I really like my Bad Kitty socks.  Cat Face with cross bones and Bad Kitty written on the sole.  Plus they are pink, so they are "girly bad."  When I'm biking I like to wear the ones that say BikerChick with a picture of a yellow chick.

BTW, love smart wool socks as well!  Wear them year round.

I love smart wool too!  but I wear them more for just daily wear! Personally for running socks I am a Balega girl.

balega?????

im intrigued...

please tell me more!

They are a great line of socks from South Africa... they have lots of options as far as thickness...they have from very very thin all the way up to fairly thickly padded.  They just started making a wool sock, but I have not tried them yet.  I get them at the Fleet feet store near me but they have a website you can buy them from.

Thank you

Ann,

an easy way is to just go to Google and select documents and sign in.

But I use Google as my homepage so I am always around it - I just log off my account and log into BT, and then reverse.  Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy!

Thanks Bill

Even smarter than my idea.

I think I will do that the next time I log in.

Thanks Dee

I hadn't thought of that either. Thanks Dee!

Morning Team.  Well I am officially a cheerleader for you guys through the end of the month.

Someone got my diagnosis right in here and I was truly shocked when the Chiro told me the problem:

ITB but it has not hit my knee - just effecting my upper leg.

No running until almost Thanksgiving - He said I could do the turkey trot most likely but I don't start Marathon training until Mid-December so I am good with that.

So sorry Bill!  Heal up quickly!

This job reminds me of that class in high school or college where you had to go and have good attendance to be eligible for an A when it was a waste of time and you could get an A in the class by not even attending except for exam days!

I had classes like that, and jobs, too.

Oh wait, I have one of those now.
