I'm leaning towards a tri bike but I haven't ruled out a roadbike with aerobars, that's what I have now though. So the question for the day is... I want to get a new bike. I'm leaning towards a tri bike but I haven't ruled out a roadbike with aerobars, that's what I have now though. So the question for the day is... What's everyone got and do you love it or hate it and why? You really have to look at your overall desire for bikes. Are you solely going to use it for tris? Then a Tri bike. If you plan on doing some road riding or racing then a road with clipons is best. You can have it fit with clip ons and without clip ons and readjust each time if necessary. I have only done 1 tri - an Xterra so I used my mountain bike. When I truly begin to contemplate an IM then I will look into a tri/tt bike (not that I have not already been looking and know exactly which bike I want but am waiting on it I don't want to do any road racing. I do have a lot of hills around so having the third ring does come in handy sometimes. I used to be a big Trek fan, and I like their tri bike, but I also like the Felt's and Cannondale has some nice ones, as well as 5 other companies. |
