Seems we've been having a fair bit of rain in England this last week - we've had about 10 days worth of rain in a single morning in some parts of the country! Missed my run on Friday morning, but have managed to make it back up today.

As for xmas decorations, I normally try and hold out until December, but if it gives you a bit of a lift go for it whenever you want and don't worry about what other people think.

Got my run in today.  It went REALLY well.

OKay, Stuffed Turkeys... Don't forget to log your workouts in the Spreadsheet.  We can talk to Taser Dee at the end of the week for those that may still be MIA for the last few weeks.  But hopefully they have been working out and will get them entered in the spreadsheet.

Seems that if you take out the 3 people that have disappeared (or just unable to update their workouts) then we are actually at 64.77%, so we are doing a lot better than it currently seems!

Glad to have you back!  Stick to it!  You will be so glad that you did!

Triathlynn-Good job surpassing one of your goals already!  Keep going on the hiking...you can do it!

Scion-Way to keep it positive!  If we all meet our individual goals we will do GREAT!

Here's the procedure. This is where your Team Captain earns his/her pay.

1) The team captain notifies me that someone hasn't been participating. I'll check that person's logs and last logon date.

2) The team captain sends a PM to the MIA person, asking if the he/she is still participating. (But only the team captain does this - because we don't want anyone to feel like they're being stalked!)

3) The team captain lets me know if the PM has been picked up (or has not been picked up).

There are a few teams with the same issue.

And if you could persuade losers like me to actually update the spreadsheet ....

Sorry everyone.  I slacked off a bit in updating the spreadsheet, but not in getting in the workouts.  We are 80% done with the month and I am at 75% of my goal, so I am a tad behind, but will do my best to make it up.  I've checked the calendar and my training program and it seems to be doable.

Good luck everyone.  Run a Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving Day and get in a workout.

Got a little workout in over lunch and even updated my portion of the sheet.  At my current rate, I'll make my running goal w/o much problem.   Two, maybe 3 bike rides and I'll have that wiped out as well.  Bonus for going over?

Nice way to make a come back crimefighter2!

Got another run in this evening (with added police chase entertainment during CD) which should see me hit 100% on Sunday. Might have to sneak in an extra strength session somewhere this week to make sure I reach that goal as I have 4 to go in just 6 days!!

Hi Stuffed Turkeys,

Dee PMed me about two of your teammates: tntexpres and crea0029.

tntexpres - hasn't logged onto BT since 11/7. I've removed him from your team's spreadsheet.

crea0029 - last logged in on 11/14. I removed her from the spreadsheet too.

Also, since Pam was your team captain, I "volunteered" Dee to be your new team captain.

If anyone has questions, or if John or Pam show up again and want to be put back on the spreadsheet, just let me know.

Dee

Happy Thanksgiving!

There won't be a Sunday update this week. (Since Monday is the last day of the month.)

Please have the spreadsheets updated with your total November numbers by 8 PM EST, Tuesday December 1st. I'll pull the numbers on Tuesday evening, and give everyone the FINAL STANDINGS.

Also, since it's a Holiday, I'm giving you all a Holiday Present! (You do know I'm a giver, right? Heh.)

You may now reach 105% of your total goal! That's right, you can help out lagging teammates by achieving more than 100% of your total goal!

Have a happy, healthy, and safe Thanksgiving!

Dee

Should have added sledding. hehehe

Have a GREAT Thanksgiving everyone!

Ok I checked on the spreadsheet.  Sure looks like I am the slacker.  I guess I'll have to pick it up over the next 4 days.  I sure don't want to be the weakest link.

On page 6 of this thread, D001 posted the formula for changing your goals due to ILLNESS OR INJURY.   Do not re-injure yourself trying to make up mileage too soon.

Happy Thanksgiving fellow turkeys!!! I'm going to log some T-day running miles today...aiming for 105% running, but I don't think I'll be able to make the swimming goal. Work has been kicking my booty lately and I haven't logged the pool time I've wanted. I'll do as much as humanly possible between now and the 30th while traveling, though

Remember - workouts today = MORE PIE! Go get 'em!

I did well on my Turkey Trot.  Beat my goal by over two minutes.  Did not burn out like I feared because of trying to stay up with all of the runners.

Won a pecan pie in the raffle!  Tongue out

Very fun!!  Now turkey is cooking and everything is well under way for this afternoon.  Stepdaughters and their husbands are coming over ...  way fun.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE
