Spring Marathon?

Sure I recommend not to do one.... says the man who hates running. GL finding one

Try going to www.coolrunning.com. They list a bunch of races in the area.  Hyannis is on Feb 28; a new marathon in Providence on May 2; and a race I plan to do sometime is the Burlington Marathon which is memorial day weekend every year.

I'm not sure at which point in the spring you want to run, but hopefully this gives you some options.  A word of advice if you haven't run on the cape before- the races are notorious for being crowded and a bit unorganized.  If that's no biggie for you, you'll be fine.  But Hyannis road races are notorious for being a little all-over-the-place.

Oh and I hear Sugarloaf in Maine is great!  It's mid-may I think.

Any early spring half marathons out there?

Hampton half 2/21/09 Hampton, NH
Big Lake Half Alton Bay, NH May (I think)

Great Bay half is in early April (I think?). Did it a few years ago- it's right before Boston and very hilly, but a fun race. 

There is one in providence, RI first week of may. And Vermont City in burlington at the end of may.
