As promised, my reviews from the trip to Vegas:

1.  Hash House a Go Go - We never made it here.  So, it's on the list for next time.

2.  Battista's Hole in the Wall - I ordered Veal Parmigiana (which came with a side order of Penne) and an order of meatballs.  Meh.  The red sauce had too much sugar in it, the veal was kind of cold, the cappucino tasted like hot chocolate, and the free House wine was godawful.  Won't be going back there.

3.  Top of the World Restaurant - I ordered Kobe carpaccio, lobster bisque, an Australian Wagyu ribeye and a three cheese bread pudding thing.  Dessert was cheesecake lollipops (basically two bite sized pieces of cheesecake on sticks).  Very nice place, awesome view, the service was excellent, the menu was impressive (although the choices on the a la carte side dishes menu were lacking, imo, which is how I ended up with cheesy bread pudding), and the food was excellent.  Wasn't a huge fan of their "bite size dessert" policy; sometimes I want a 6000 calorie piece of cake.  Definitely would go back there.  I wish they would enforce their "dress code," though.

4.  Craftsteak - I had a cucumber and watercress salad, grilled Hawaiian prawns, and a "Kobe style" New York Strip (fan-freaking-tastic).  Dessert was coffee and monkey bread with caramel sauce and vanilla ice cream.  That place was awesome.  I had the same problem with their side dish menu, but maybe that's my problem for finding most any vegetable that's not corn or a potato repellent once it's been cooked.  Not quite as "fancy" as Top of the World, but I think the food was better, and I was a bigger fan of the menu here.  Definitely will eat here again, trying a different cut of meat.
