Master  1791     Raleigh, North Carolina |  Subject: Swim Bike Run Challenges FacilitationMight be rehashing something that's been asked about already Ron, but was wondering.... Any thoughts on some type of interface to streamline some type of interface the different swim, bike, run challenges that are going on? Something automated, sign upable, sortable (by sex, sport, date, week), that spans a date range, and has a few text boxes. Allows a BT user to create and manage. Seems like right now the process has been to go through individual logs to obtain the data, lots of number crunching etc. A computer could chew this stuff up and spit it out much quicker. thanks, jb |

Champion 13323   Gold member | Subject: RE: Swim Bike Run Challenges Facilitation actually i have asked for marmadaddys assistance in evaluating a software extension that will setup challenges, tournaments and ladders...its already integrated into the board software for gamers who do these tournaments but it will need several modifications - esp if it will sort and track events, times and distances per user... marmadaddy and i wanted to see if these challenges would 'stick' before putting in the time/money to develope this feature. since you brought it up, maybe we will quiken the pace to develope it...my, my...there will be a ton of new features coming out now acrossed the whole community in the next few months...several of them quite extensive and totally cool. ok...so we will get going on this...marmadaddy has mentioned he will take the lead in the development/testing should i give it a go...we will give it a lot of flexibility, base it off of the current challenge-style and have it calculate stuff automatically based on the training logs data... give us a few months to get it beta... |

Champion 13323 Gold member | Subject: RE: Swim Bike Run Challenges Facilitation thanx guys...use it for a good charity though...ironwishes? really, we are okeydokey to facilitate some good reinvestment into stuff like this...programmer dude and i have a list about 10 items long for the next few months...ladders and tournaments...filtered graphs...more graphs...nutrition logging part one...actual vs planned...1028width version....audio/video/live feeds...export to excel/csv...etc, etc...and THE MAIN NEW SECRET ADDITION GUARENTEED TO BE WORSHIPPED BY ALL...just kidding...its a crazy-cool new feature that will revolutionize the way you plan and log races...bt will be the amazon of triathlons...(nothing to do with books or selling stuff...just assimilation/integration/display of data...just more time on bt...) will keep us busy for awhile...i would like to have the above done in two months...if programmer dude stays sane... |
