Tough swim. Couldn't get into a rythmn. Unnerved by other racers, I think. Not a good performance.
What would you do differently?:

Just swim, and not worry about other swimmers. Concentrate on fundamentals.

That was fun! Avg 24-25 mph out, and 19-21 on second half. Did not get passed by anyone, passed lots of racers.

Smooth transition. Had not practiced transitions much this spring, so was pleased both T1 and T2 went as well as they did.

Finding a rythmn took a while. Felt like I had a very high HR starting the run. But settled in, and got passed by only one runner.

More bricks in the weeks leading up to the race.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Lack of swim race experience.

Event comments:

Good beginners race or good for a B or C race, which fit the bill for me. The splits were not timed, and I forgot to use my stop watch, except for the run, so I had to back out the swim and bike times from run time and avg bike speed, so everything else (swim, T1, T2) were lumped into the swim.
