I think I ended the month at 138 and this morning I was 137.1.  I'll take it.  My goal for the New Year is 134.

I have a ball to go to on December 21 and I finally get to wear this really cool dress that I have had for like ten years and never worn.  I can zip it, but let's just say that a couple more pounds would allow me to enjoy the evening more.  I actually might do one of those mud wrap things where you lose a whole lot of inches virtually instantaneously.  Of course, it doesn't stay off, but for a special event it might do the trick.  I did one of these about twelve years ago and not since.  I don't even know if they still do them.

Today: 247.4

Goal: 236.0

uhhhhhhh, can barely bring myself to type that current number, I am seriously hoping it is a lot of water or something because it is about 5 lbs higher than last week....

In either case, I am set to hit this month's goal! Looking forward to the half mary on Sunday in Vegas.

Well, tomorrow you will rock and roll a couple jillion calories and lose five or six pounds.   Go and have a terrific race and let us know how many more of these things you want to do.

I feel like I was ill prepared, but I can say that right after I was thinking "Who the hell came up with 26.2 miles?" A few hours later I am thinking "not so bad...I just need to train more and better"...LOL.

Thanks guys/gals for wishing me luck...Even you Comet (I won't tell).

Even though I was thinking at about mile 19 "Whe the heck would ever do this more than once?", I do believe I am going to review my training and see if I can get myself through another one. I also believe that my fat butt was a factor....GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR! I should start smoking again....

My oldest brother wants to know what I did wrong since there were people done in just over 2 hours. I tried to explain that I only decided to do this a few months ago and he figures "Okay, Then maybe 3 hours." Now this is the same brother that thinks the 20 years I spent in the military count for nothing and I have NEVER had a "REAL" job, so his opinion doesn't mean a whole lot. However, I do work for him..LOL.

Sounds like he enjoys yanking your chain :-)  Easy enough to stop though, just challenge him to the next one.  If you win, you get an extra week of vacation... if he wins, you put in an extra week.   Regardless of the outcome, he won't be mentioning 3 hours again!

It is hardly an accomplishment to spend two hours doing something.  Practically anybody can do something for two hours.  The real accomplishment is to be out for there five hours.  And, yeah, you need to challenge him to the next one.
