Comments: On target through 22k, however, my quads started to tighten from 22-32k, and then I faded in the final 10k. What would you do differently?: More gels! I think my drinking was OK, but I just didn't have enough calories on board to support my pace. Post race
Warm down: Walking around the Pandang, post race massage, walking to the MRT to get home. What limited your ability to perform faster: Heat and humidity. 80deg at the start and 85-90 at the finish wiht 75%+ humidity makes a tough race. Earlier this week (tuesday - friday) I was sick. I ate something on tuesday that caused my stomach to shutdown and then woke up vomitting tuesday night. I hardly ate for the next three days, I'm sure this had a negative impact on the race. Saturday I was able to eat and had three good meals to prepare for today. Last updated: 2009-09-05 12:00 AM
