Anyone know of a place that does it?

Are you looking for a water immersion test?

Could be but I also know there are other methods (something called DEXO I think, and then another method where you sit in an air chamber).

I just want something with some degree of accuracy.

The thing I'm not looking for is to go to LTF and do the electro test.  I can do that on my bathroom scale at home.  And from what I understand, it is horribly inaccurate.

I'm not sure where to get it done in GA but I know there is a mobile unit that travels around Tennessee. I saw it at the Chattanooga Tri one year. Maybe you could get enough tri club peeps interested to get the mobile unit to Atlanta?

There is probably somewhere in Atlanta to get accurate testing tho. Have you checked out any of the medical weight loss programs (i.e. like the ones affiliated with hospitals)? They may know where to get accurate testing done.

They had a sign at the Dekalb YMCA this morning that they are doing the immersion test for $45 on Jan 11th.  Didn't read it in detail though.

Why do you want your BF% if I may ask?

actually dan, ive been after a dexa scan too for a couple mos. posted it in the "perfect weight for an IM thread" in the IM training board.

i think i read about it somewhere as the gold standard of bf measurement.  and its more data to help figure out this puzzle of ours. flipping it back to you, why would you NOT want to know it if you could? plus there are other side benefits

Part of my goal to improve my nutrition this year.  I'd like to get a baseline now and then again in a year.

I also need to make a Dr appointment to get a complete blood workup.

no real point using the water dispacement one if you can get the dexa scan from what i can gather.
