Comments: Horsetooth 10k Swim. Yeah, baby! That was a lot of fun. We had almost the perfect weather conditions, except for some high wind. The water was the perfect temperature at 73 degrees. The wind created some choppy conditions, but thankfully it was at our backs and sometimes gave us a push along. Angel did wonderful in the kayak. I was aiming for the three hour mark and came in below that , so I was happy. There were some FAST and accomplished swimmers in the group of 70. Lots who had completed the English Channel (a 26k) and other long distance events. Kids too! The youngest at 13 and 14. The female winner went 2:20 the male winner went 2:16 The 14 year old kid went 2:18 What would you do differently?: nothing! Post race
Warm down: waited for the bus. What limited your ability to perform faster: Just continue to swim more. Event comments: This was one of the best most fun, organized, small but well supported races. All participants and volunteers were super friendly! I will do this race again! Last updated: 2010-01-17 12:00 AM
