Comments: i can't believe i did this. this is the farthest i've run in a decade! and i really haven't been training much, so i was really sure that i would have to walk part of the race, even half. but i ran the whole thing, and i felt good the whole time until the very end when i picked up the pace and felt like hurling right as i crossed the finish line, but after letting my heart slow down a little i felt much better. What would you do differently?: train more! Post race
Warm down: not much, it got kind of cold so we all just left. What limited your ability to perform faster: my lack of training and willpower. Event comments: my first 10K!! i had a great time. Last updated: 2005-05-17 12:00 AM

ate some optimum cereal and yogurt, and had some water. very little warmup, just before starting they had some clif bar samples, so i had one. basically a single bite of a clif bar, but that was really good for me, i think.
