I have been looking for a trip top, but all the women's are way to small for me.  What is the best option for women with large breast, that can't find a tri top?

I'm a DD and have found that the DeSoto men's size L (in several of their models) works well for me.

I would recommend a 1-piece tri suit.  Dankin has a good starter one.  For my LUNA tri top and bottoms this year, I sewed them together into a one-piece, and that worked great.  With two pieces, the bouncing just gets annoying when it pulls the shirt up all the time.

I'm a D so not huge, but not small either.  I find that I have to wear a bra under tri tops since they don't have enough support in it.  Let's face it.  Triathlon sizing and clothes are NOT designed for Athenas.  They are designed for the skinny minny's that are at most races.

That is a great idea to check out the men's...I am worried about finding appropriate racing attire but this will be a good place to start.
My first tri is in early June in MN...and I am thinking I will want a wet suit...talk about stuffed sausage.

Thanks for all the help.  I have been nursing my daughter for almost a year now, so I'm with PGA_Mike's wife at the other spectrum of the alphabet.  I'm a (G) and the only way I'm going to find a tri top is to go with a Men's tri top, and 2 sports bras.

And to think some women to have ta tas.Wink

I guess I'm the exception to the rule about Athenas vs skinny minnies. Not all Athenas are "big." I'm an Athena, but also considered a "skinny minny" by most (6'1", 152#.) I fit into a women's L in tops (since I also am a D, I probably wouldn't be over 150 if I didn't have my boobs.)

I wear a sports bra and a women's tri top over it. Yes, the tri top has a useless "shelf bra" but I just pull it all over my sports bra.

For all the women out there that say they have to wear two sports bras, try looking at Title9.com at the four barbell+ bras (they rate their bras by "barbells".) They are pricey (and you can often find the same bra other places cheaper, but they are all quality bras that will last a long time.

I'm a C and only 5 feet tall. I recommend a one piece tri suit cuz the last thing you want to worry about is pully up the pants and pulling down the shirt. Laughing

I feel your pain. Right now I'm considering wearing an Enell bra (no bounce, ever!) and a tritop. My only fear is the Enell is not made of a very wicking fabric, so I'm worried about chafing after the swim.
I guess for a sprint it can't be too bad.

The enell bra is the way to go!!!  Totally fantastic!!!!  I'm nursing a baby.  My girls were huge before I got pregnant!  I wish I would have discovered this bra pre-baby!  I have worn it during one tri.  No problems.

I do chafe with it.  It's a small price to pay, though.  I am just so happy to be able to run without bouncing.

As for the tri related clothing......I have always worn tri bottoms and a wicking top over my bra.  Works just fine.

I am nursing, too... and was wondering: should I wear breast pads during the tri? If I do, they will probably chafe. If I don't, then there will be a whole wet milk chafe thng going on...advice?

I am a DDD and have found that the Blue Seventy WLA wetsuit is a great fit.
Also, Bali In Motion bra is great!!!  No bounce, and I wear the Danskin Tri-suit - 1 piece - i can look for the size if you need it.
Good luck!!!

Hello ladies. I have DD myself and am looking for a good sports bra to train in and wear during the race. I see the bra a couple of you mentioned that should be tried, but I want to avoid chafing. Are there other suggestions for non-cotton sports bras. Also, I have seen some sports bras for our large size that has underwire. Should that not be worn to a race? I am embarking on my first triathlon in August, so I am learning everything. If you have any other suggestions besides what has already been posted please let me know. Thanks!

I wore a very unflattering enell bra in my tri yesterday - it felt damp, but kept everything in place with minimal bounce and no chafing.  Highly recommend this ugly bulletproof vest type bra...

I know that some of you are smaller in girth with large bewbies, but for those looking at a 38+ size bra, Junonia carries a Glamorise® High Impact Performance Bra that is simply spectacular. I wear it for workouts and it's perfect. It wicks away moisture and holds my girls in place solidly. It also covers the area well, no hanging side boobage. It's only $42 and I highly recommend it. As for tri tops, I'm still learning, although Aerotech carries a nice selection of tri gear in a wide variety of sizes that are good quality and long lasting.

Not the only one, at all. I considered posting the obligatory, " This Thread Useless Without Pics."
