Mont-Royal Summit Quest 50 K - Run

Run
Comments: My left foot started cramping brutally at 45 K making it almost impossible to run. Shin splint on right leg was very debilitating - when I kept to the grass the shin splint was fine but acted up whenever I hit the pavement which was the bulk of the run. What would you do differently?: Bring some gels Post race
Warm down: Crossed the finish line, drank some ice cold water, grabbed a banana and a cookie then started icing my left foot and my right shin. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lots of pain. I should have bought new shoes two weeks ago will never try to exend them again. Event comments: This is really an ad hoc kind of event in keeping with the Fat Ass Style approach to running http://www.coolrunning.com.au/fatass/ Last updated: 2005-06-19 12:00 AM
