Comments: I was hoping to have a really great time today, which would have been sub 27 for me. I just didn't get it done. I think the main factor was the weather, it was 60 degrees yesterday and today it was 30 and snowing. I tend to be slower when its that cold. Also, I started about mid pack and there was a lot of slow traffic in front of me so I didn't feel like I got in a good pace until about 1 mile in. The other thing is I haven't ran a 5k race for quite a while and I think I held back too much. I should have pushed the third mile harder than I didn. This was just a so-so race for me. What would you do differently?: Biggest thing would be to have pushed the pace harder from the get go instead of just hanging out and waiting for things to clear up. Post race
Warm down: Trust me with as cold as it was, warm down was not a problem. What limited your ability to perform faster: Gravity. Not pushing the pace as hard as I should have Event comments: This is a huge race with a separate womens and mens race so like over 3500 people in total. It was well run with plenty of volunteers. They also gave out really great long sleeved t-shirts. Last updated: 2010-03-15 12:00 AM
