Pre-race routine:

We got to Virginia Beach around 6 am to make sure we got a good parking place! We were able to watch the sun rise over the ocean...it was a beautiful morning!

Walked around the start area before going to my corral.

Comments:

This was my first race and longest distance attempt ever! I had two goals, to run the entire race without walking and to finish in under 60 minutes. I reached both goals...it was an awesome morning!!

Warm down:

Walked about a mile back to the spot where my hubby and I decided to meet up after the race!

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Weight, need more training!
