Swim
Comments: Not a bad swim. Timing mat was outside of pool deck so actual swim time was a bit quicker. The guy starting first was not going to swim the time he claimed so I was ready to pass him immediately. I passed him at the 125 wall. Out of the pool first was a pretty cool feeling but with a 300 yard swim it doesnt mean much. Transition 1
Comments: A good run to get to transition, and I had prob a :20-:30 lead on my buddy Robby who had also passed the guy who started first. Robby started 3rd. What would you do differently?: My mount was rusty at best, and I was very sloppy getting my shoes on while riding. Bike
Comments: My legs just didnt have it in them today. I was far too slow on the bike, I should've been about 1.5mph faster. I have only had a few hard interval sessions outside and it definitely showed. My rides have been geared towards my HIM in May, not towards my sprints. Very disappointed. Transition 2
Comments: Not bad, just not great. I thought I was really slow, my shoes didnt go on very easily. Run
Comments: Not bad, but I had hoped to go about 2 min faster. Again, my legs just werent with me Post race
Warm down: Had some water and walked around a bit. What limited your ability to perform faster: My legs just werent firing like they needed to today. Event comments: This race was a good way to start things off to see where I'm rusty. Unfortunately I'm rustier than I thought. I've got a big race in 2 weeks so we'll see how I really stack up then. With only 77 participants, its not a very deep field. I was happy to go under an hour, thats the first time I've gone that low. Last updated: 2010-03-24 12:00 AM
