Consider getting one.
Narrowed down to the Samsung Behold II and the Motorola Cliq.  I don't want an iphone.  Played with them for a few minutes the other day.  I think the touch screen on Behold II responds very slowly.  Not sure if it's because I am not use to operating a touch screen phone.
How are the receptions? Anyone has real life usage experience to share?

Just got my wife a Behold II to replace a G1 that had been stolen. So far she's really happy with it. No problems with screen response.

imho...

i am a cell phone/smart phone junkie...i mean, it is my "other woman"...and over the past few years and well over a 1,000 dollarsthat I havee spent on smart phones...my .02 is this- for ease of use, and just so many things that you never thought you would want to do, take another look at the iphone.

i have had every new bb and other at&t windows mobile smart phone that came out(even switched to verizon to  use one of thier phones...but went back to get the iphone), since my company had a block on the exchange for iphone, but as soon as that lifted, almost every salesman/managger ran rright out to get it...and no one has gone back...

I tried to settle, but it really does everything i could think of, and it  does it very well.

I need a support group.

I don't need to be connected at all time for work.  The smartphone is more like a "toy" for my personal use.
I don't like ATT.  Prefer to stay with T-mobile which I had been using for over 10 years and have no problem.
Usually don't follow the "trend".  I refuse to get an ipod just because everyone has one.  The same applies to all of my other belongings/services - I don't want a Cervelo, a Garmin, a Coach handbag or Netflix.  And I don't want an iphone.

Fair enough, I just hope for your sake that you don't find bypass surgery, medicine and bikes become main stream .

I'm a Droid owner and have a love/hate relationship with it.  It runs Android 2.1 and just lacks polish and some things are just stupid.  There is no touch screen out there as accurate as the iPhone, but I couldn't do ATT.  I do really like some things with android, including free turn by turn google GPS and some others.  Good luck!

Haha... not against mainstream.  Just thought if my Creative mp3 serves the purpose of playing music when I am on the go, I don't need an ipod.  If my Astrale 8 keeps tract of my bike mileage accurately enough I don't need a Garmin.  I don't need those extra functions. Besides, the hardware upgrade deal for the Behold II and Cliq arefor T-mo customers are very good.

I have to agree the iphone has better touch screen.  The lack of sensitivity of the Behold II was my major concern.
Guess I'll to play with them a few more times before I decide.
