Pre-race routine:

Got up at 3 AM.
Had oatmeal and banana and a lot of powerade.

Drove to the race with Dave and Josh and met my cousin Jonathan at the race. This was the first Triathlon for all three of them.

DAM COLD. Just jumped on the bike and took off with no jacket. My legs where turning purple on the bike and my toes where frozen. My hands where also going numb.

I am so out of shape right now. I have had no good training since January. I was much slower then last year.

Get toe covers and wear gloves.

For very little training I had an OK run. My legs where cramping all over the place when I started to run. For the first 1/4 mile I didn't think I would be able to run the entire way.

This race has the worst food selection ever again this year.

But the wings at BW3 after the race where very good with my Jim Beam and Coke.

Despite a lack of training, it looks like you still had a good race. Great bike considering the course! Sounds like you and I had a similar post race nutritional plan.

The BW3 is on a side street off of High Street (can't remember the street name, but it's next to a hotel and across the street from the big parking garage). I'm a Miami grad

Nice job in cold weather.

Your plan - "train"  sounds like a good plan.  I often leave that out that one as well.
